Thursday, January 24, 2013, 6:09:50 AM- I miss my best friend.
I miss her cheap walmart cotton sweat pants / ugg boot combo. The woman lived in them! She had dress sweats, play sweats, work sweats and going to bed sweats. I have never worn sweat pants, nor will I ever and don't own a pair of ugg boots. We are as different as night and day, but we love one another. Best friends don't have to mirror one another, they just have understand and accept one another.

Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 5:42:02 PM- A bit overboard on the charges, don't you think?
Tree-climbing inauguration heckler banned from Washington, D.C. 3 hrs ago; [Source] msnNOW.com, updated 24 hours a day. Rives Miller Grogan is allowed in the nation’s capital for a court date in February, but other than that, the California man is banned from Washington, D.C., for good. On Monday, Grogan sat in a tree for five hours, shouting at the president and attempting to drown out his inaugural address — just a week after he stood up and yelled from the Senate gallery. Since 2009, Grogan has made a shouty spectacle of himself: He's held a doll while screaming in the Capitol Rotunda, marched up the Capitol steps shouting, "Stop killing the babies," and has disrupted the Senate more than once. "God leads him to D.C. to [do] what he needs to do," Grogan's mother said. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A bit unorthodox to voice his freedom of speech? Yes. To be banned? No. Yes, he should be charged, but with disturbing the peace or even made to keep a certain distance from public officials. That is all. Washington can allow millions of non-tax paying illegal aliens to roam our states freely, but a United States Citizen can't? Your thoughts?

Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 4:45:30 AM- What comes to mind?
While looking up at the tree lines at the top of the Carmel Mountains, the movie 'War of the Worlds' with Tom Cruise, popped into my head. Looking up at the mountain invokes one scene in particular in which the machines break through the tree line while everyone is getting on the ferry. There are other movies that come to mind when I hear or see certain things. I know that you will laugh at me, but hey! I'm just a dork. Deal with it....lol For instance: A squeaky wheel on a car or bike, reminds me of the 1954 giant ant movie 'Them' with James Whitmore. If you have ever seen the movie, you know. It may have been way before my time, but I watched it as a young teen and never forgot about it. Late at night, from time to time, *tee hee* ...the back of the couch creeps me out because I think of a B rated movie called "The Crawling Hand' The hand of a dead astronaut comes back to life and kills for revenge. In one scene the hand jumps up on the back of the couch and attacks a woman....lmao. How can someone not fend off a hand? Hello? It's a good thing that I am comfortable laughing at myself. I beat all of you to it. I cannot be the only one who will admit to this. Fess up....what triggers your mind? NNquiring minds want to know.

We had a blast! As I have mentioned before, the blog challenge was created in order to bring laughter and participation for all members willing to play. It doesn't matter who you are or who you know. We play to enjoy ourselves and to discover things about one another. Each time the challenge is played, a few NNers that none of us have seen before, steps up and plays. I LOVE THAT! I personally want to thank: *The visitors who comment on the blogs. I have seen names that I have never seen before. *The men who have opened up and have shown that grown men can let us see into their imaginations and be giggled upon and not feel threatened about their masculinity. YOU MEN ROCK BIG TIME! *All of you women! You helped me get the games going again. All of you who were with me years ago on this and the women who are with me now. *The new comers to the challenges. We hope that you remain and come back for another game. Thanks Everyone. Thank you for making each game better than the last.

Monday, January 21, 2013, 5:08:30 PM- Pt 2 from below. Finishing our walk. We approach the woods.
I live with the sea in front of me and the mountains behind me. Along with those mountains is still the ocean, but just a different part. On the peninsula and I can either walk the ocean section of it and end up in the woods, or climb the hill part of it and end up at the ocean again. Yesterday the walk I took you on left off at the banks of the marsh. The marsh leads into the forest just outside of 17 Mile Drive. The sand is gone and I can see deer droppings everywhere, so it's time to put the shoes back on. The first site to see is orange glowing mold. And it does glow! It's furry velvet and as much as the inner child inside wants to touch it? I don't..lol The pine tree it is growing on is decaying. And as much as the decaying tree has lost it's color, the orange mold breathes life back into it. Here it is, the mossy covered forest. Like drapes on a window, the moss hangs from every tree. It blows in the wind and looks so soft and willowy. This time it is safe to touch. How odd that the feel of it is stiff. It breaks like crispy bacon....mmmmm bacon. Ok, I won't get distracted. There is so much to see above, that anyone could walk right by this beautiful mound of wild mushrooms. Which makes we want to saute' them for dinner. But no, they are poisonous! Upon a closer look it's discovered that the white areas are as shiny as silver. The green of the clover that surrounds them is a contrast of beauty and danger. Further in the grass has disappeared. The grounds of the forest changes and becomes spongy. How odd? The walk is on years of fallen leaves, decades of moss and decaying trees. Then as quickly as you know it, the woods become an array of wild berry bushes. Everywhere, every thing green and waist high are berry bushes. Too bad it isn't the season yet. They are edible. So far the forest has been decayed and living pine trees, the moss and the berry vines. It isn't hard to notice all of them together with the pine cones. I can only imagine that the moss is feeding this tree branch it's moisture. Why are the pine cones still alive? Nature has discovered a way to keep what is dying, alive. By spreading food on it in another way. The woods are becoming chilly from the lack of sun. I am surrounded by moss covered fallen trees and it is hard to press on further. Where are the sounds of nature? The birds are quiet and the squirrels have gone into hiding. As much as I am enjoying this walk, I would imagine the wild life is disturbed by my presence. [img] [/img] It is time to venture to another section and leave the woods. And here it is! The sun is setting through the trees and that is my que to head back out to the ocean side and head on back home. I usually walk alone and do my thinking and wishing. I have enjoyed sharing my walk. It is time to sit on the balcony and sip some wine, eat some cheese and order Chinese Food.

Monday, January 21, 2013, 3:51:58 AM- Take a walk with me. It was a beautiful day.
Let's start out at one of the cutest carved out rocks I have ever seen. The kissing Seals. The crushing blows of the water over time has forged an undying love between two seals. Now take your shoes off and feel the cool wet sand between your toes. The chill of it sends a tingle up the legs and puts a kick in your step. Such a thrill to feel so alive near the water. As we walk for a ways, it is time to sit down on the boulders of the Tide Pools. Pick a boulder any boulder. Since our shoes are off, dip your feet into the water so your toes can feel the ripples of the waves and the velvet rocks underneath. Now that we have a fish eyes view of the water, let's enjoy how the waves are at our level. What's that we see? The waves coming? You bet!! And they are huge! And yes, the water is rising. Time to stand up! It's a good thing we stood up and jumped onto another boulder. Because let me tell you, as quick as the water goes out, it comes in just as fast! This is where we were sitting and now it is gone!....lol. Time to wade out of the water and up the trail. Let us end our journey by walking along the moors. The sea mist is creeping along the banks of the marsh. It is so serene you can hear birds walking inside the grass. I don't know about you, but I had more energy to walk through the woods. But since you are tired, we will save the rest of the walk for another time. I hope you enjoyed the adventure.

Sunday, January 20, 2013, 5:23:26 PM- They say that fashion is worth the risk.
I love to look nice, but I wouldn't want to snap and ankle over it. Ok, so this last model wasn't wearing shoes. But she sure is full of herself...lol. She has that "I wonder if they noticed?" look on her face. Strike a pose.
