Gift PremiumOdd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Tuesday, March 26, 2013, 12:53:30 AM- A simple bumper sticker to make you grin and think..."Very True"
Except for the last 5 years of my life, I have had dogs all around me. At one time I had 3 in the house. All of the dogs that I have had the pleasure of raising were all rescue dogs. I won't say I "owned them" because let's face it, our animals own us...lol. For various reasons they were in the shelters or not wanted by their owners. One little Beagle of mine comes to my thoughts. Shelby was discarded because her bite was off and therefore could not compete in shows. All because she had an under bite, she was left in a field. Shelby was the love of my life. Like I have mentioned in the blog below, I will find another dog someday. Any animal that a person raises in the home brings a special love and joy. I saw this bumper sticker and thought of Happs and his friend. Then it dawned on me....I grinned, shook my head in approval and thought....."very true"

Sunday, March 24, 2013, 6:40:55 PM- I just couldn't concentrate
Saturday. I decided to go into work in order to catch up on a few things. Most days I will stop and look at the views as I work, but today I just couldn't concentrate. There are two views from my office that can kidnap my concentration and hold it hostage. The view of the bay. To the right are the mountains. Even on a foggy day, both sights are just as beautiful. The fog can create a peaceful, yet creepy and stunning appearance. It is like a somber stranger moving in and wrapping the surroundings in it's cool mist. But yesterday it was clear and crisp. So why should I stay in the office? I gave up on working and went for a walk. I ended up next to one of my favorite benches. There was an elderly gentleman sitting on my bench! How dare he! I stood off in the distance and wondered what he might be thinking. Was he sad, mad? Was he thinking of how lucky he was to be here among the water? Was he thinking of life? A lost love, his family or maybe how he would like to be out on the sail boats? I decided to sit on the bench with him. He turned to me and smiled and said hello. So I asked him: "You look lost in thought" His response "I had a great golf game and am still playing it in my head" lol........Awesome! Now that is a golfer! My son's father played golf for many years, so I know golf. We sat and talked about all of the golf courses we had both visited and our favorite players. A nice end to a blue skied day.

Sunday, March 24, 2013, 6:52:17 AM- It's Blog Challenge Time! "Let It All Hang Out"
Some of us were not born in the 60's. Some of us do not remember the 1960's and some of you do. It was a time of the Sexual Revolution. Love Ins, Peace Signs, Free Sex and Free Drugs. "Make Love Not War" was the most used comment of it's time. It was flower power all the way! There were black lights and rock-n-roll, hip hugger bell bottoms, suede summer hats, head bands, fringed leather vests, mini skirts w/go go boots, psychedelic clothing and tie dyed fabrics were every where. So let's go back in time and "Let It All Hang Out" Here is how we will play. Show us how groovy you can be. Like they used to say during the show - Laugh In..."Sock it to me" with your imagination and live like a hippie for a while. **Post 1 to 4 pics in your blog. Nude or not (your choice) **Style your pics from a favorite song of the 60's, a style or a look, some clothing or a special moment that was popular. **When the time comes, post the names of the players or the link under your pics. **We will play on Monday - in 9 days, that is 2 Mondays from now. This means it will be a Tuesday for those ahead of the US Time Zone. Remember, this is all about imagination and fun. Go with it! The 60's was all about Freedom of Expression. Let it all hang out baby! Are you game? Sign up below if you want to have a "Sit In" with us. Peace Out.

Sunday, March 24, 2013, 4:01:06 AM- A total thumbs down on this one.......with due reason.
The date was going well. We talked and we laughed. I had one glass of wine and he had glass after glass of Rum and Coke. I began to count at 5. Basically I ate alone. He drank his dinner. Seriously, he didn't have anything to eat. I have seen this behavior before....sooooooo there will not be another date. He received a thumbs down. Oh well, life goes on. How was every ones day?

Saturday, March 23, 2013, 7:44:03 PM- Felt damn good!
Last week was exhausting! More so mentally and emotionally than physically. I slept a little over 12 hours last night. I cannot remember the last time I did that...lol. If not for the phone ringing, I would have kept on sleeping. Who was on the phone? A certain gentleman asking me out to dinner. Yes folks!....I have a date! Last time I accepted a date was last year in November. Happy Saturday!

Friday, March 22, 2013, 7:19:09 PM- What a dufus!
My laptop needed updates and all of the other notifications a computer goes through...*boriiiiiiiiing* So I was approving this and clicking that..lol. Then of course it had to shut down. When it came back on the prompt was to sign on. So I did. The screen appears and the desk top icons load. But, but.......??????? where?????? What in the hell did I push? OH HELL I erased shit! WTF!! Where are my picture files? My document files?.........OH SHIT! Nooooooooooooo what did I do... !!!!!!!!!!! I panic! Then I hurriedly call my eldest son and the first thing I say is "HELP!" I asked him to tell me how to go back in time. I am freaking out and he is laughing at me. He tells me to re-start and we would go from there. So I re-start and when the screen appears...and I see....*what a dufus*!.......I start to laugh and with an embarrassed low voice I say "Um, don't make fun of me too much, but I signed in on the Admin Screen that first time, not my Private Screen" Oh he laughed. Boy did he! Then he told me a blonde joke. But I don't think this has anything to do with hair color.

Friday, March 22, 2013, 6:30:10 AM- Kids and their ever so innocent and honest words.
Before a child learns how to lie and if a parent does their job well, a child will continue to speak the truth and encouraged to do so, no matter the consequences. Their words are funny, intelligent, thought provoking and literally can make more sense than big words could. Why am I writing this? Bare with me please. One of the Chiefs was taking his kids to pick up his wife from the airport. She was coming home from her Dads funeral. When he returned to the office, I had asked him how his wife was. He told me she was fine and then proceeded to laugh and tell me what his son said to her after he gave his mommy a kiss hello. His 7 year old son said "Mommy I am really sorry that you cried over grandpa dying but he was old and old people die" He was not shocked over this nor was she. They are raising him to speak up. I taught my sons to speak up and I do not regret it. Yes, to this day, even their words could cut, but the truth is better than anything else. This is why the saying "Out of the mouths of babes" was written. All of us parents and even the single people have heard some wild things come out of a child's mouth.
