Christian mom group offended by holiday JCP ad with Ellen and elves.

msnNOW.com If someone were to protest the J.C. Penney Co. holiday ad that Ellen DeGeneres made with elves and cookies, you'd think it would be for not being very funny, but a Christian moms group objects to the ad because the openly gay DeGeneres is in it. One Million Moms reportedly posted a message on its website saying JCP had offended "a huge majority of their customers" and called on Christians to "vote with their wallets." Interestingly, after generating significant coverage, the message was taken down, and the group's director told the Christian Post it was backing away and "moving on." Early Friday morning, the OMM site was itself inaccessible — perhaps the work of Santa’s elves?

I don't shop at JCP, but I will give them some business this weekend. One Million Moms can go "f" themselves. It's fine and dandy to not watch a television show, not support a business, or whatever based on your personal values and reasons. But please stop trying to "sanitize" the world to suit yourself and let others make their own choices too. I bet these old biddies would be the ones scolding Jesus for hanging out with a prostitute.
Ellen DeGeneres is (kind of) funny, warm, kind and generous and a huge advocate against bullying. How many of these “million moms” are going to wake up some morning and find out their very own kid is GLBT? Ellen stands for compassion and empathy for all people no matter what their differences are. These “million moms” need to concentrate on Ellen as an entire person and not her sexual self; which is only a small part of who she is.
