Sunday, January 18, 2015, 11:31:00 PM- WOW WOW WOW!
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh and it's sudden death!! There were interceptions, close calls and a comical ball-to-the-helmet ooops....the other team has the ball interception. There was a close call of 'is he in out out' to decide. To me, he was in and would have called it so. I prefer college ball and truly do not have a pro team. I just enjoy a good game and this one was a very good game. I love the games that get down under 4 minutes and you wonder if the losing team will make another touchdown. I enjoy it even more when the clock is winding down to 2 minutes or less and the team that was once behind, has now tied the game. The Seahawks and the Packs gave me quite a show! Now that it is sudden death, I don't have the luxury of watching the remainder of the game. It is time to hit the road and head back to my apartment. I won't be able to watch the highlights until after 1800 tonight. To me, I know that Green Bay is the better of the teams and the Seahawks just got lucky. But that is my opinion. Who else watched the game? It was thrilling!

Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 5:34:24 AM- During a status thread.............felonies....mayhem....running from the law!
Rockhard and I were having fun fantasizing about taking off in VTCali's new car. We were going to be felons and take an entire police force on a high speed chase throughout the freeways of Los Angeles and be all over the news! Me, commit GTA or be an accessory?.......lol......yes...I did and have. In a prior blog I admitted to being an accessory to GTA when I was about 15 yrs of age. When my best friend J and I took off in the car that was going to given to her. It was in her moms name and her mom told J not to touch it until she was legal. Well we took it and got into an accident. That was not the first time I was party to a crime. Sister G got her license when I was 10 yrs old. After my dad would go to sleep, Sister G used to sneak the keys from the table and off we went! Now you would think that an older sister wouldn't want a little kid cruising Whittier Blvd with her, but G was different..lol. She used me to get out of trouble....ahahaha and to attract guys by having me look out the window and stick my tongue out at them. That was a conversation starter. It didn't end there. Oh No! When Sister G would babysit for our oldest sister, all of us would be a party to G taking her car as well. She wasn't the only teenager on the block to take cars without permission. She just did it more than the others and was asked to be the driver because she had her license. I just happened to be a part of it because she didn't want to leave me alone for fear of something happening to me. I mean, stealing cars is so much safer....*giggles* I don't remember her having permission to use any of the cars she took me for a ride in. Well, maybe once. There was the time in which my brother in law asked G to take him to the ER. I wonder if G felt weird driving a car that wasn't stolen? She never mentioned anything....lol With such an influence in my life, I could have very well been a felon. But no, I chose a totally opposite direction. Tthose were the days! Cruising the boulevards of Los Angeles helping my sister pick up cute guys. We had no fear of being caught by the police, just running out of gas. Did I mention Sister G never had money for gas?...lol. That is for another blog.

Sunday, January 11, 2015, 6:39:50 PM- It's time to go.
My nursing assistance is complete. The ex is back to his bossy, demeaning and insulting self. These clues tell me that what ever I do will always be wrong and he is right....lol. I have been following the medical instructions down to the letter, but of course the doctor and I are wrong *giggles* I had only planned on staying here until Sunday night, so I am happy that his true self showed up....lol. Now the visiting care nurses can take over. He will listen to her......kind of. I am glad that I had the time to care for him right after the surgery. That is a very important and crucial time. I love the guy as my closest friend, but man! He can be quite a handful. We had an amicable divorce in 1997 and since then our friendship has lasted because we are better off not being married.

Sunday, January 11, 2015, 1:01:40 AM- It's Blog Challenge Time! "RomaNN Toga Party"
I have been reading about the historical meaning of the Roman Toga. And history notes that the toga is a distinctive 20 foot long garment of Ancient Rome and was made of various types of wool. The Toga was wrapped around the body and was generally worn over a linen or silk tunic. The toga was a garment worn exclusively by men. The women wore Solas. Only Roman citizens of distinction and power were allowed to wear them. The tunic was worn by slaves or the poor. Each colored Toga represented day, night, party, funeral or rank of power. It was said that the Toga was only worn out of doors. What did they wear inside?...lol To me? We're all prestigious. I think the Romans were just too lazy to wear real clothing and just wrapped themselves in their bed sheets. For us NNers the Toga will be used to have some fun and give us an excuse to act like college kids and show off our imagination. Let's party people!!!!!!! The rules are: *NO USING OLD PICS. *NO USING PHOTO SHOP. *But you can use Photo Shop to write on your pictures. *Post 1 to 4 pics in your blog. *Nude or not, your choice. This challenge is for non nudes as well. *You have 9 or 10 days to get your RomaNN Toga" pics ready. *Again, we play a week from this Monday and Tuesday (9 to 10 days) *When the time comes, write the names of the players under your blog. Make the RomaNNs proud or put them to shame...lol. Send me a message of you have questions or need help. Sign up below if you want to play.

Thursday, January 8, 2015, 4:11:31 AM- Well, one knee down.
On Monday the Father of my sons had his right knee replaced. The procedure was completed and he stayed in the hospital for a few days. We got him home this evening about 1700 and after a lengthy time of getting him out of the car and up the steps, we finally got him into his recliner at 1745...lol. *whew* The incision is huge and brutal looking. It's pretty cool looking. Anyhoo, it is also very painful and he will need some pain meds. The youngest son went to 3 very well known pharmacies and each pharmacy tech told him that they didn't carry that narcotic in stock and they would have to call the supplier and have it delivered. So I call the hospital and tell them of the ordeal. The nurse says: "Oh, that narcotic is hard to find and most don't carry it" Tell me something? Does it make sense to prescribe a narcotic to a surgical patient if they are going to have a hard time finding it? It makes me scratch my head in amazement that they sent him home without pain meds knowing full well we would have a damned of a time filling the script. I'm on nursing duty for 4 days.

Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 5:42:03 AM- A rolling meat locker.
That is how I will describe the van pool that I am a part of. Everyone in the van pool is hot blooded and cannot stand the heater. At first I was understandable to their plight, but after two weeks, I thought "screw that"!! I have a plight too. I am freezing my tookus off!!! I feel as if they should just jam a hook in my back and hang me from the ceiling of the van. For a while I sat there and kept thinking about the scene in The Shining where Jack Nicholson freezes over...lol I got tired of their lack of consideration and started to ask the driver to turn the heater on. She turns it on and as it's warming up, the other riders won't ask for it to be turned down until they are sweating...lol. Fine by me...tee hee. All good? You would think. But noooooooooooooo! Here is the most butt headed move I have ever seen a person do. As soon as the van is warm and toasty, the driver will roll down her window and she lets all of the warm air out! Who the hell does that? That is a shit move and very inconsiderate. I have started to bring a blanket with me and will continue to ask for the heater to be turned on until they begin to sweat. It's up to them to ask for it to be turned down. The way I see it, it's 15 minutes of toasty warmth, another 5 minutes of the heater off, then another 15 minutes of cool air when the inconsiderate driver quickly rolls down her window and pretends to throw her gum out, all the while letting the warm air out during the 7 seconds the window goes up and down. I get 15 minutes of being comfortable. I am fine with that. We must compromise. But it is really sad that they didn't think of me at all. I had no choice but to put my frozen feet down and make a stand....lol. It's only 9 more months and by then hopefully I can buy a new car and drive myself into work. Now I know 25 to 30 degrees isn't that bad to some of you who live in the below freezing areas, but I am a wimp...lol This is my first van pool. Does anyone have any stories of car pooling?

Sunday, January 4, 2015, 8:32:26 AM- I love a good laugh.
We all know that I am an upbeat person. I can create my own laughter and keep a smile on my face on a daily basis. I mean, how can I not have a good time, I do the goofiest things. In my opinion, it is a good policy to smile or make another person smile each day. You give and you get back the laughter that you spread around. At times, it isn't what I do that makes me laugh. The best and all time greatest moments is when someone else says something to me or does something that just sends me into a tail spin and just splits my ribs from such hilarity. I not only feel this way about giggles and laughter in my real life, but it's just as good here on NN. Although legal names are not used on NN and all of us are anonymous, it doesn't make it less of a good time because of our anonymity. I don't need to know your legal names to know that you make me smile or laugh. Even through our anonymity, our laughter can make us all feel connected. I don't want to leave out the trolls or those who get angry with me. They can make me smile and laugh just as hard. So here's to the ones who make us laugh and here's to those who laugh along with us.

Friday, January 2, 2015, 10:35:19 PM- Yes, I can be a grease monkey.
The 'check engine soon' light came on in my truck. Now, I know this is just a warning and knew it had something to do with the emission. So, I popped the hood to check the injectors, the sensory mechanism in the gas tank, the fuel hoses and got out the handy dandy dilly bobber to check the codes of the engine. I got a Lean Too Code. Just the one code meant that it could be a variety of things. With 2 Codes, it would have pin pointed a specific area on the truck. Everything was checking out fine, so wth? I went back to my owners manual and checked the explanations a bit more. I went back to square one and started from the beginning again before I dismantled a few things. The gas cap was on tight. But.....hmmm? What's this? The inner lining of the cap and the gasket was a bit tweaked, worn and crooked. YAY! I bought a new cap and the light went out. I was happy to see that it was a bit of air getting in through the gas cap and not the injectors or anything else. Yes, I could have taken the truck to a mechanic, but why? I don't like to spend money on things that I can check myself. If I discover it and can fix it, I will. If I can't, then that is when I will pay someone else to do it. Either way, it will get fixed. Moral of the story..........................

Thursday, January 1, 2015, 9:35:12 PM- Another year has begun.
We do not have a crystal ball and cannot predict what is in store for all of us. At the beginning of each New Year we are all full of expectations. We hope and wish for good luck and good changes. It's natural to look ahead and see nothing but monumental happiness. Each day will bring something that will either make your day a positive or negative one. Make the negatives change with the strength of a positive action. If the day is positive, pass it along to help others. A period of time has ended and a new one begins. Each new year begins another turning point in our lives. It is impossible to begin a year without remembering the year that is now behind us. We need to remember the past year. We use our mistakes, our achievements, happiness and sadness as a guide to what we want in the new year. It isn't meant to dwell on the past and keep us down, but to bring us up and moving forward in the new year. Last year I set a goal for myself. This year marks my achievement of that goal. My goals for personal achievement will never end and neither should yours. I have so much more in store for my life and there will be times that I will be tested. Those who know me, know that I love tests....lol. As I mentioned above we do not have a crystal ball and cannot foresee what is around the next corner. I like that. No matter what is thrown in front of me, I will accept it and make another year my bitch...lol. Here are my hopes for all. May you learn from the past and use it for your future. May you love deeply and live fully with those around you. May you walk among the smiles that each day can bring you. May you cast aside the emotions that do not lift your spirits. In all.....Happy New Year....now go kick some ass!
