I have been here for a long time. Some might argue too damn long. I talk and I talk A LOT. Perhaps what I do best though is multitask while I am talking. Multitasking in this case doesn't mean carrying on more than one conversation at a time, though I am quite capable of carrying on 5, any more and I do start to get lost, or at least lag. By multitasking I mean being observant, seeing what is going on around me while I carry on all of these chats. Some of you have been amazed for years that I am able to figure out who you are within seconds of your arrival in chat as an alias. Observation is all it takes. We are all unique and in that respect have our own "signatures" What I have observed over and over again is a willingness to blame others for any percieved slight or wrong doing. I am not perfect nor will I ever claim to be. I have been taken to task for my actions more times than I care to admit. I have also admitted to my actions before I have been taken to task. Ok lets get to the point. Shit happens, we don't have to like it but we do have to respect that we may not and may never know the reasons. Sometimes it is wise to take a step back and accept that we will never know what happened in any given situation. He says, she says, her best friend said, he said. You see where I am going with this. Gossip will never give us the truth but it may give us the answers we need at any given time. The problem with that, is when you take those percieved answers as gospel and refuse to let yourself think out side of the proverbial box. The old saying goes, there are two sides to every arguement. Somewhere in the middle I suppose lays the truth if you care to wade through the percived hurts and self justification. Far from perfect but thoughtful, ju

Remember how I thought I was doing so well by having my Christmas shopping done? Well that is still good but like they say there is ALWAYS something. I was just handed a form from school. Kid one had joined the swim team, cost #15. It turns out that was the INITIAL cost. Grand total $200 due this Thurs. The big pisser? My cheque doesn't come untill NEXT Thursday. This is the first extracurricular activity she has ever joined. Somehow I must not fail and figure out where the hell I am going to get it from! Wracking my brains, ju edit I asked her father for some help and he said NO. I will call the school tomorrow see if they will give us an extension. FFS, this shouldn't be this hard.

That is how long we were without power tonight. It went off after the sun set but slightly before it was pitch black. First thing we did was find each other. Next I groped my way to the basement to look for the camping lantern. It was a good thing I had it out to bbq with Tues night so it wasn't too hard to find. Once that was accomplished and candles found we sat here bored for a full 5 mins. before my daughter got her ipod and was watching "Finding Nemo" with her bro. Within mins her friend showed up also totting an ipod. This is when it got interesting. For a few mins the girls were sharing one and I was sharing the other with my son. Then the bright idea came out to get the dock and the speakers so we all piled onto the couch only to find there was a volume problem. So while the kids attempted to discover the problem there I decided that using the computer speakers would be a good plan. Yeah right. It took me half an hour to undo all the twist ties I had keeping wires neat and then untangle the speakers only to find out they didn't fit. While I was doing that my daughter remembered her friend had put a volume lock on her ipod. That meant the lantern had to find its way out from behind the computer and up to her room to find the other friends phone number. A five min call later the volume was unlocked and we sat to watch again all squished together laughing about our fancy schmancy home theater. Quick time check, damn my mom will be calling in a few mins. Me and the lantern went upstairs to get the only corded phone in the house and plug it in at the opposite end of the couch I was sitting on. Grab a beer, go to the washroom and come out to find my daughter talking to my mom. Eventually we all got settled in, the kids watching "Dirty Jobs" now. Kids put the damndest things on their ipods. About half an hr into my call and the kids all beating the shit out of each other and laughing like hyenas the power came back on. Instantly I was alone on the couch. Son to the comfy chair to watch his show. Kids friend out the door gone home. Daughter into the shower to wash the chlorine off from swim practise. God only knows what we would have done without the ipods to keep us busy but damn it was a fun evening. ju

Too bad I will be sleeping thru it. I have placed a bet on the Melbourne cup thanks to woder, and rather than pay $42.50 to send him $1 I sent him a nudle I have been to exactly one night of horse racing in my entire life. I took $20 and came home with slightly more So using the same strategy I am counting on becoming rich because I read the field in depth and decided that "Ice Chariot" had the coolest name. Toss a shrimp on the barbie and pass me a stubbie! I'm gonna win big for sure, ju

Two blogs one evening. What can I say, it was a busy one. Sometimes people say things that are totally out of character. It hurts when they accuse you of being who you aren't but in the end you have to let life go on, or do you? Tonight I was baffled and watched another very, very, dear friend of mine "defend" himself. Which seemed totally ludicrous at the time but then again you never know what people are thinking. We discussed it briefly in MSN and then I clued in. Something was drastically wrong. To make a long story short I won't discuss it at all. What I would like to do is thank a few people. Guitartxn for realizing, accepting and caring so much. Angel/tits, sorry I wasn't replying to you, but I was reading you. KylaG for your knowledge and help when I really didn't have a clue what to do. Fire68 for going the extra mile as you always do, this time from half a continent away. I would also like to thank the rest of the people in chat, some who caught on right away that something was very, very wrong and especially the ones that joined and didn't have a clue. You joined chat expecting sex, sex and more sex. One of you was particularly unfeeling but did eventually get it. All is well for now and typically the one who scared us so damn much isn't really aware of how bad it actually was. Thrilled to belong to this community all over again, ju

I just got a panicked phone call from my friend Ron. He is a friend I met at the last course I took, the fun one with the cool people. Some of you may remember him because he had never ever sat in front of a computer and when I told him to push start he reached out with his finger to push the start button, that was when I introduced him to the mouse. Fast forward 6 or 7 months he has since taken a basic computer course twice and is signed up for a slightly more advanced one in Jan. Today he was looking after the motel. He started at noon and absolutely nothing was happening so he thought he would go in the back and check out the computer. He was having a grand ol' time perving untill he wondered if any of what he had been looking at could be traced. Coitus interruptus in a big way when he realized it could be!! God knows how long he tried in vane to delete his history. This is when I got the call. Hi how are you and some small talk till he interrupted with "I NEED your help!" I was laughing as he explained and with just a few clicks helped him erase his sordid afternoon. He swears he will never do that again and I am thinking, yeah untill next time. I am still laughing thinking of the panic he was experiencing after what was supposed to pleasurable experience. Snickering, ju

Thursday, October 30, 2008, 7:07:11 PM- OMG I can't believe it!!
This is the first time in my entire life I am "finished" Cristmas shopping before halloween!! Last night my son was cruising the internet and found a Canadian site for fire fighter stuff. The had a shirt that looks like the real ones but on the back and around the maltese cross says "firefighter in training" he wants it soooo bad I ordered it last night. Today I went down to the mall and got a pile of stuff for my daughter all on sale at great prices. When I got home I decided to itemize everything I have gotten to date, I always spend the same on each kid. I was a little behind with my son then decided to look at the lego website. In 10 mins flat I had made up the difference and am now finished shopping! (for now) Because I am so far ahead of the game and done wayyyyyyyyyy earlier than I ever imagined I can add a few more things for each kid! This is the first time EVER that I am not totally stressed about Christmas and am actually looking forward to it in 55 days! Grinning large, ju
