I am laughing at myself right now. I COULD be the poster child for the one you hope to hell you aren't chatting to. It is chilly and I refuse to turn on the heat for at least another month AND I happen to love the windows open!

Right now I have on an old grey sweatshirt, a brown and blue down vest, a pair of navy blue too short flannel jammie pants with light green and light purple cowboy boots on them, white slouch sorta socks and green and purple slippers.
I am the epitome of sexy!!
I seriously think dressed like this I could solicit some donations to the make juicy sexy fund and collect enough for a laptop so I can chat naked in bed.

as with all changes there is a period of feeling slightly unsettled, things just dont feel right. So it is with the change of seasons.
In this house we are all having a bit of adjustment period with the early dark. The day especially on grey days seems so long and when we are thinking we should be settling in for the night we realize it is still only 6pm.
Not so long ago it was still sunny untill 9:30pm. Sunset is now around 7 but with the apts across the street we lose direct sun much earlier.
It will not be long now untill we reach the shortest day of the year, already it is close to dark when we wake.
In the spring we will battle the energy the longer days bring us and going to bed on time will be a chore.
For now we are fighting the clocks to stay awake untill "normal bedtime" When we change back to standard time it will be even more of a challenge for awhile but we will settle into a winter routine.
I am looking forward to next weekend, the quintessential weekend of fall, thanksgiving and then on to halloween. After that I will wish to hide from November.

If you have ever lost a cell phone or a cam I am pretty sure I found it in my dream last night. I dreamt I lost my cam at the beach and as I was digging for it I came up with handfulls and handfulls of other cams and phones.
Wonder what that means?

I love fall and I am not the only one.
Since it has cooled of the neighbourhood has come alive again. Right now all the kids are playing road hockey. The only light available is the street lights and the porch lights.
I have heard non stop laughter.

It seems there is some sort of competition going on. Damned if I know the logic behind it but it directly involves Sandman, supporty and I. The winner is going to get the ever elusive "something". Knowing her warped sense of humour it is prolly 20 more nudels.

I am currently trying to decide on a colour to paint my upstairs bathroom, there are several paint chips stuck in the baseboard awaiting a decision.

I made a new friend tonight, she was the one who kidnapped an old friend so that the 4 of us could just be.
It was so amazing to just sit and talk and then brag, and then prove we had nothing to brag about. We talked, we got caught up, we played cards till we were done. We put the cards away cause the game was interferring with talking.
More than likely we will do it all again next month.
Just hanging out with friends is amazing.

The conservative MP in my riding was canvasing my neighbourhood. One of his minions came to the door and I told her I wasn't in the least bit interested in what the Conservatives had to say. She pointed him out on my neighbours steps and said that he would gladly come over and clear up any misconceptions I may have.
To say the least I made him a little uncomfortable. He refused to address my specific issues. His answer was to say that he can't do for one person, that he has to consider the global good. When pressed for specifics his reply was to ask me for a pen so that he could have me contact "Janice" at his office, apparently she should be running because she is the one with all of the answers.
When I pushed on (this was my opportunity to ask the incumbent a few questions) he suddenly got very very busy with his blackberry. I then presented him with a form I have recently recieved from Revenue Canada. His response was "oh you won the lottery. I have had to do this because the last time the Liberals were in office they decided to attack all Conservatives" and to make a long story short I should again contact "Janice" she is the one with the details and information I need.
Well let me tell you right now. IF arranging for a ride, "I need you to pick me up now" is higher on your agenda than taking my number and getting to the bottom off all of this for me you do NOT deserve my vote. You Mr. Colin Carrie should have been taking MY phone number and promising to call me back with answers. You have put me in the position of doing all of the work you WERE elected to do. You will NOT be getting my vote.
Sitting and waiting for the next wanna be MPs to knock on my door.

She is in Waco now but only untill 7am tomorrow. They have had updates on their property, the house is fine, a few other things, not so much. They are saying she wont have power for at least 2 weeks. They are going to Arkansas, where her parents evacuated to in the morning. Her and the kids will stay for at least a week, her hubby will go home if he gets called back to work.
Now I need sandy and keith to check in!
Glad all is not too horrible for m2m but the red cross and FEMA are offering nothing yet. I can't imagine being stuck in a hotel room with 2 lil kids and a dog indefinitly but they are all at least safe.

so good to see you again!! You brought it all back, why I fell in love with this place.
