Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 5:16:09 AM- Do you know what's in your food? He says it constantly!!
*ugh* A person who preaches to you about food is worse than a person who preaches to you about religion. One of the Sgt's loves to tell you what he is eating. What's in it and what's not in it. If someone is eating around him, he will tell you what is or isn't in their food. I eat a well balanced diet of all the food groups. I do love to indulge from time to time with some extravagant deserts, otherwise I'm healthy. My body does not lie and the check ups I get from the doctors don't lie. I buy fresh fruits and veggies and stay away from salt, canned goods and most of the processed foods. Now getting back to the Sgt. Today I was eating a chicken sandwich....mmm good. I brought the ingredients to work and put it together at my desk. He saw me spreading the mayo on my bread and went into a tizzie!!!! You would have thought I was spreading rat poison on it...lol. He began to tell me how bad the mayo was for me and begged me to change my ways. Soooooooooooo...lol....I had to go there. Instead of putting the sandwich together, I looked at him and with wicked look in my eyes, proceeded to lick the mayonnaise off the bread. As he walked away laughing he said that I was troubled...lol. Me? Naaaaaaw....go on! A couple of minutes later a few officers came in and said that they don't care if I eat mayonnaise, they just wanted to watch me lick it off of the bread.........hahahaha. Preach God to me all you want, the food is off limits. *sticks tongue out*

Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 6:03:26 AM- I wonder? NN Rules......
When I joined NN in 2004, I can honestly say that I read the rules. Upon my return after almost 5 years away, I read the rules again. I figured things might have changed in my absence so it would be wise to catch up. Call me a geek, but when I pay for something I want to know what I am getting into. Honestly, when joining NN, did you? A. Read the rules when you signed up? B. Read the rules after a while...a few weeks later? C. Were advised of the rules each time you made a mistake? D. When you want to do something on the site, then you go see if it's alright? E. Still don't know the rules? Come on, admit it. No one will laugh at you.

Monday, March 3, 2014, 9:34:39 PM- I'm covered in it.
Home for lunch for a quick shower and a change of clothes. I was given a long hug by a man who was covered in stinky cologne and the scent was transferred onto me. *ugh*.....*ick* I wouldn't have minded him hugging me if the cologne was a pleasant scent, but noooooooooooooooooooooo...it's one of those scents that smell like gasoline and vinegar. Women aren't the only ones who drown themselves in gross smelling spray. Every time I get a whiff of someone who permeates themselves in cologne or perfume, I think of my Mother. Picture this: The bedroom door is shut, my Dad yells "Jo! Are you ready? ..,,then cut to the bedroom door ....it slowly opens and before my Mother appears there is a fog of perfume mist that wafts out of the room before she does. It always looked liked London fog down the hall way...lol.

Monday, March 3, 2014, 6:29:27 AM- I thought his name was Andrew?
Earlier today the neighbour was getting it on!! And man was his girlfriend happy! Oooooooooh yes yes....yes. Mmmmmm yeah ooooh mmmmm. I started to grin and thought....oh yes, you get down with your bad ass self. That's right you get some of that. And then it happened! Matt...oooooooh Matt, MATT MATT MATT...........yes yes MATT..MATT......mmmmmmmmmmm Matt What a minute? I thought my neighbours name was Andrew? I saw her earlier and decided to play the name game.....lol I asked her how Andrew was. (if the name was wrong, no harm no foul, she would correct me) But no, I wasn't wrong.....lol. She told me Andrew was fine and that he was on his way home from Utah visiting his family. BUSTED!!!!!! I hope she washed the sheets and her cootchie....hahahaha.

Sunday, March 2, 2014, 7:27:06 PM- Heads up! Public Service Announcement.
When putting your sneakers on, don't put off tying the laces so you can rush to answer the phone. Tie them as soon as you put them on your feet. I guarantee that you won't regret those few seconds of time.....lol. Your forehead would appreciate your cooperation on this matter as well. And one more thing, don't blame the door jam for your mistake. Make note of this.

Sunday, March 2, 2014, 5:50:32 AM- The calm after a storm
It has been storming for a few days. I have enjoyed every minute of it. The pounding of the rain on the roof and windows. Then you add the wind blowing through the trees and all of the ominous sounds that it creates. I am happy. During my walk, the rain began to subside and the sun slowly made an appearance. All of the black and grey clouds drifted away and in their place came the white fluffy clouds that remind me of silky white pillows. Then it happened. A miracle of nature. The Magical Rainbow. A Rainbow has the power to stop everyone in their tracks and render them speechless. How can you not stop and enjoy the beauty? Everyone who was walking, stopped and some of us say down to just view it all. How it changed and grew in size. I was in awe. The ocean was calm, blue and serene. The clouds added to the spectacular array of colors that the rainbow provided. Today was a great day! I wonder what the people on the sailboat were thinking? I did get the entire rainbow, arch and all....which is rare. But this is my favorite photo. I love this beautiful little hamlet that I call home. xo

Saturday, March 1, 2014, 6:06:00 AM- My love for the water is endless.
Be it salt water or fresh, I love it. Each body of water that I have lived near or had the pleasure of swimming in has been different in color, temperature and contents (meaning fish, plants, dirt or sand) and each body of water has been a thrill. I have always been fascinated as to how or the reason why the colors change. All of you have noticed that the ocean across the street from me is blue and green topaz in color. It is a gorgeous and unbelievable site to see. But the beauty here doesn't take away from the beauty of the other bodies of water that I have seen. When I drove back to Orange County for my birthday, I had to (of course) visit my old stomping grounds where I learned to surf. I will always have a loyal love for Huntington Beach. I love the water there, cold or hot, the water is enjoyable. You will notice that the water in HB is a stunning soft mossy green. Such a contrast to the bright topaz green and blue here where I live. The surfer I was following was a trooper. He was learning how to surf and kept flailing his arms about...lol. But he kept getting up. I had only planned on putting my feet int he water, but it was so warm on such a chilly day, that I rolled up my yoga pants and kept going further and further into the water. By the time I knew it, I was up to my ass in the water....lol I gave up and just kept taking pictures because I wanted to get closer. Once soaked, I sat under the pier and had memories of the years I spent under it watching the waves go through a maze of beams. When you see the water twist and turn around the pillars it is as if they are hugging them and leaving a small kiss behind with a sea slug or crab that gets left behind when the water heads back out with the wave. This pier has been built time and time again due to the violent storms in days gone by. The original pier was made of wood. It was so simple, pleasant and cozy. But it had been destroyed by violent storms. Each time a new pier had fallen because of storms, I was there to see it and there each time another one was built. Watching a new pier being constructed was just as thrilling as the next one. This cement pier has held for years and is a keeper. Sitting under the pier has a homey feel and you know that you will feel relaxed from the cool sand and breeze that greets you. The soft mossy green waves of HB will forever be a part of me. I learned so much from this beach. I learned not to swim or surf during a storm...lol I also learned that when you swim around the pier, to be careful of the fisherman up above. But hey, I was 18 yrs old...I knew everything back then!
