Thursday, March 20, 2014, 4:44:56 AM- It has been a busy week! But it's all good.
Being busy at work is always good. Yes, I know....lol.......I said that I was going to slow down. But hey! I haven't been ordered to slow down. I have been asked to design another photo, mat and frame. The Chief asked me to bring in my photo portfolio. lol......look at me, a portfolio?...ooo la la!! I always call it a library. But hey, portfolio sounds good to me. He looked at it and we have chosen a few photos to print. For the last three days I have been constructing the first one. All of them are needed by Sunday morning. I am so flattered and humble that they have asked me to provide all future retirement, transfer and award photos. The chief asked me what the cost would be. I do not intend on making a profit from anything that I construct. But I do know that according to policy, a monetary amount has to come out of the budget. So I asked him to hand me the receipt book and on it I wrote $1. That is it. My payment comes from being complimented with just the request. No time to read blogs, I have more to do. Hugs and kisses.

Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 9:27:11 PM- Yes. Yes, I did.
I walked right into the corner of the wall. I cut it short and bruised my cheek. Some officers said "I can't believe you did that" My response? "Believe it" If I can chew gum and walk at the same time, how come I can't walk and read at the same time? Riddle me that?

Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 4:44:41 AM- Spiders. (Don't worry, no pics. I promise)
I am intrigued by spiders. I also respect them and admire their beauty. Now spider webs are a different matter. Those scare the bajeezurs out of me! It's the unknown and the sticky feeling that get to me. Go ahead and laugh..lol. Earlier, in the dark morning hour on the way to my truck, I turned the corner of the fence and walked right into a spider web. It freaked me out! Was it on me? Is it in my hair? Will I feel it later? What WHAT WHAT!! There I was flailing my arms about and turning my body into what a contortionist would blush at...lol...and swiping at my clothing. I must have looked like a total 5150. All day long at work, I wondered if that sucker would appear on my hand while I was typing or maybe rear his head out of my cleavage.....hahah. Needless to say, I had an interesting work day. I am home now and I'm pretty sure that if it was on me. He or she fell off in the truck or in my office. If it did fall off in my office, I hope it is courteous enough to answer the phones or file some reports. When I used to be on patrol and walking in dark areas I would put my pr24 (baton) out in front in front of me like a machete. I did this to clear any spider webs that might possibly be invisible in the dark. Hey, I'm not daft. I learned that lesson the first time I walked down the side of a house looking for a peeping tom. Lesson learned. No more webs in my hair or little critters tagging along. So you see, spiders don't scare me. Even though I have been bitten by many spiders, it's their webs that make me uncomfortable. If a terrorist made me walk through webs, I would unleash all of Americas secrets...........hahahaahahhaha

Monday, March 17, 2014, 5:38:55 AM- Teen antics and going along with them.
One of the friends that would never cut school with us, was my good friend Jane. When Jane's family moved from Kentucky to California, we became very good friends. We were like twins. When I brought up cutting class, she was afraid to go because of what happened to her in back in her home town. One day in Kentucky, she cut school so she could go sledding. Simple play day? Not in the least. Jane broke her leg while sledding and the jig was up. Her Mom told her that God broke her leg for lying.......lol. Jane said that she would never lie again. Jump forward to Jane turning 16 years old. Her Mom and Dad bought her a car (2 weeks before her birthday) but told her not to drive it until she gets her license. Simple again, right? Hardly. Things aren't that simple. One night while her parents were out, Jane said "Let's go for a ride and drive past Eddies house" Eddie was the guy she dreamed about. Anyhoo, Jane was in charge..lol.....I was only 15 yrs old...tee hee. I didn't want to go, I swear *snickers* So off we went! Jane had tossed that God thing out the door for a boy. Isn't that always the way?.....hahaha. Okay back to Jane and illegal driving. Off we drove. Two silly teen aged girls off for some fun. Jane sucked at driving. She was swerving, running stop signs, braking at imaginary lights and hitting curbs as she turned corners. It was a blast!! We get to the block that Eddie lived on and as we were looking for his house she crashed into a parked car. We looked at each other and screamed "fucking shit!" We then laughed and she took off like a bat of of hell! I did notice that in a panic, her driving was much better........hahaha. We drove up the street and heard a siren. She starting screaming...."omg omg omg.....they know they know!! It turned out to be an ambulance. She started the car and we were silent the entire drive home. We pulled into the driveway and just sat there. All of a sudden Jane says "I guess my mother was right, God broke my leg and God wrecked my car" I started to laugh and told her that God already has his license so don't blame him for this. Her Mom didn't buy the God thing either. The next day, Jane's car was towed away and they never did buy her another one. From time to time Jane and I laugh over this night. She blames me for not stopping her....lol. But like I said, she was older than me...*giggles*..my Dad told me to never argue with my elders. I wonder? If God did drive, what kind of car would he have?

Sunday, March 16, 2014, 8:09:32 PM- Visions
The area surrounding my home is a vision of loveliness. No matter what time of the day, night or season... it's worth admiring. During my walks I notice that the things around me change every second. As I meander along the paths, sand, rocks, or cliffs...I can turn back and look at where I have walked before...and the visions will change. With each movement of the sun or clouds, lighting changes, the color of the water changes and so do the shadows of the rocks. One of my favorite type of photos, are the ones in which I dare to take a photo into the sun. I do this a lot with my own figure pics. The sun creates a natural romantic being and gives off an aura that I find pleasing. What else I find appealing are the dark areas that tend to illuminate shapes and curves. Most photographers won't take a picture directly into the sun, but I will. The areas that become shadowed makes the viewer wonder what they cannot see. I like the intrigue and the melancholy of it all. The sun may be harsh but it can create a soft and plush feeling for the eyes to see. Yesterday the sun gave me another vision that melted my heart. I have no clue how long I sat and watched the sun slink along the water. All I know is that with each passing second...the clouds started to dance, colors changed and shadows shifted. Peace and tranquility my friends. It's worth pursuing and keeping.

Sunday, March 16, 2014, 4:55:49 AM- Cutting school.....or in political terms...being truant.
The last time there were Truant Officers in full force was in the 80's. They have since been disbanded because of cut backs. A great number of parents don't care if their kids remain in school and most teachers have given up from lack of support. I admit to being truant aka cutting school or playing hooky many times in Junior High and High School. While we were out hanging around, if we saw a police car we would jump into bushes, hide in backyards or duck behind cars. If the officers saw us they would stop and ask us why we weren't in school. Now if officers do that, they get accused of harassment. We used to roam the malls until a Truant Officer caught some kids and we saw them being put in the cars and taken back to school. Once that happened, we started hanging out in the down town area, on buses, other kids homes, at the beach or where we could get to in a short time. What purpose did cutting school serve? Absolutely no purpose at all! It was the thrill of going against our parents wishes or the thought that we were rebels. We constantly laughed at the other kids who were sitting in class and thought them to be fools for not joining us. But we were the fools now, weren't we? I did this a few times and felt comfortable because I learned how to write my dads signature. It was perfection! I could have signed his checks for him...lol. Anyhoo, the school never called because the signature card they had on file looked exactly like the one I wrote my notes with. But like all lies, it was discovered and the hammer came crashing down! My Dad came home early and saw me and my friend jumping over the freeway fence. He gave me the look. A look that would bring me to tears because he was disappointed in me. Then he looked down, shook his head and turned his back on me. Then he motioned for me to get to my room. I sat on the edge of my bed for hours waiting for him to hand out my punishment. Five hours later and still sitting on the edge of my bed, I knew he wasn't coming to give me a speech. I was never truant again after that. A punishment doesn't necessarily have to come from being put on restriction or from being given a speech or yelled at....sometimes a look will make you cry so much more. It was the first and last time that I deceived my Dad. After a few years I was glad that my dad caught me. Lord knows where I would be right now if I had continued to lie to him. I was a foolish teenager. Think back. You're all teenagers again and it's confession time. Who cut school and what was your punishment?

Saturday, March 15, 2014, 5:11:07 AM- A needle in a haystack?............or is it?
How do you find a person who calls on their cell in the middle of no where and says "I am going to kill myself" You would think that it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. But with today's technology and the pings we can initiate, it is damn well easy. Each time she called, her location had changed, but the pings made it easy to track her and then BAM!...we moved in because the department was able to predict her next move. She was found and is now safe in the hands of a locked facility and is getting help. One person took all of our time today. One day worth of worry. Because after all....one person does matter. But it ended on a good note and was worth all of that worry. Even though I would love to read all of the blogs that you know I adore, I am too tired and just want to snuggle in bed, eat some cherry ice cream and listen to some music. I wrote in my status that I had been fantasizing about my bed all day. My fantasy is about to come true. Life is good my friends........life is good. I hope that all of you had a nice day and night.

Thursday, March 13, 2014, 7:32:28 PM- Is it recess time yet?
Remember when you were in school and during those beautiful sunny days, all you did was stare out the window and wish for the recess bell? There you were watching the clock....tick tock tick tock. It appeared to go at a slow pace or even stand still. You sat there listening to the teacher and all she sounded like was the teacher in Charlie Brown.... wa wa wa wa wa........and more wa wa wa wa. Every sound around you seemed to grow in intensity and volume from your desire to make time go faster? Someone was writing or swallowing too loud....lol Well, that is how I feel right now. It is gorgeous out today!! Set me free! Let me go...lol. How can they expect me to sit here and write reports when this is across the street from me and one of the views from my office? Someone give me an excuse to leave. The landlord called and needs me? Something......lol. Give me your best excuse for getting out of work. You can't tell me you never wanted to play hookie...
