I have been offered a position in another department. I am excited and nervous.
As usual, much like any other decision I make, I weigh the pros and cons.
Pros:
a. 2 hours from my sons and their Dad.
b. A promotion after a years probation.
c. It's in the desert. (which is okay since I did live in the AZ desert for over 2 years)
Cons:
a. I move.......again.
b. It takes money to move.
c. It's located in the desert. (look above...lol)
Also, before I accept a job, I drive out to the area to see what I can see. I look at apartments, the cost, the locals, how long from home to work and the sites and what parts of the area I should be warned of. It looks like I will be heading out on another road trip.
Since I am changing specialties, the stipulation for this job is that I have to train at another another academy. I can do another academy. I have graduated from 3 of them.....*slaps myself on the back* Thank God it isn't a physical one. It's more of an investigative academy.

While I was pondering my decision, I painted. It isn't anything spectacular and it isn't finished.... but it did comfort me. I don't like working with oil paints. It has been years since I have....after tonight....I remember why!


I will receive a sign if this job is meant to be.

I took a quick 20 minute nap at lunch time.

I was reading an internet news headline "Attempt to kill spider ends in house fire costing $60,000 in damage" My first thought was 'hmmmm? Safire, what did you do now?' I giggled and wondered how she was doing.

Then I logged into NN and saw that she had returned and blogged! It was deja vu and creepy at the same time! I started humming the Twilight Zone tune.....lol.

Does anyone have a cabin on the beach or the mountains for me to hide out in? All that I ask for is a fireplace, wine and no phone. I'll bring my smile and some bath oils.
I'll give you an example of how tired I am. I didn't participate in Lego Saturday or read blogs all last week. When I don't read blogs, you know something is up!

Except for a sporadic visit or two on NN, I have been pretty much absent. Sometimes life gets away from you.

The 9 days I spent with the ex was hard on us both. I know he is sick, but that didn't keep both of us from getting a wee bit impatient with one another. Oh we had fun in between the errand running, doc appointments and the housecleaning. We own Season tickets to the Dodgers, so I made sure we went in order to take his mind off of things. We enjoyed dinner at the Stadium Club like old times. The ex has a little knee scooter that helps him get around. During his up times, I made sure that he got out of the house. It's important to keep his spirits up. There was some down time for me. A visit to see my best friend in Escondido and a drive to my favorite sammich shop on Main St. HB.

All last week was rough! Work drained me. Each day was spent catching up on my work and putting out fires that others created. Reports were lost, a few officers were on vacation so other items fell to the wayside. I was beat each night coming home. My hot baths and serene bedroom calmed me down.

Calgon took me away many times last week...lol

I am so excited! Two of the four requested therapies have been approved. I am certain the rest will soon follow. They have approved the water therapy and the spinal manipulation (fancy word for deep pressure vertebrae massage)
If you could see me now, I am doing a naked happy dance. My boobs are jiggling and so is my ass.

I missed NN so much that the first thing I did when I got home was post the traveling NN sign in my gallery. For those of you who remember, I made it a habit of posing with the NN sign when I went on road trips. Maybe I will start again.
