Police: Costumed Pa. girl mistaken for skunk, shot

FREEDOM, Pa. (AP) — Police say a costumed 9-year-old girl was accidentally shot outside a western Pennsylvania home during a Halloween party by a relative who thought she was a skunk.

New Sewickley Township police say the girl was over a hillside and wearing a black costume and a black hat with a white tassel. Chief Ronald Leindecker told the Beaver County Times that a male relative mistook her for a skunk and fired a shotgun, hitting her in the shoulder, arm, back and neck Saturday night.

Leindecker told the newspaper that the girl was alert and talking when she was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, about 30 miles away. Her condition was unavailable.

Leindecker says the man hadn't been drinking and he doesn't know whether charges will be filed. New Sewickley police said Sunday that decision will be made in a few days.

She is 61 years of age, forgive her. She thinks she is still living in the 60s.

I use words like: Okie Dokie, Spectaculus, Fantastical, Goober, Dork, Dweeb, Tard, Whacko and many others. I like the way others converse and share their verbage. Made up words or not, they get passed on and shared.

I especially enjoy discovering words from other countries. A few weeks back I learned what "a total spunk" meant. Who knew?

Of course, my take on it is that I LOVE THE SHOES....

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A strong California earthquake today 2012 has struck Fresno, San Jose, and sections of San Francisco’s Bay Area. The California earthquake today October 21, 2012 erupted at midnight and continued with aftershocks thereafter. The quake is one of the strongest to strike North California this fall.

Officials tell news that a 5.3 magnitude earthquake began in California at midnight. The quake, however, had virtually no depth. As a result the quake could be felt across the region. Officials tell news that the quake was only six miles below the earth’s surface

The quake was northwest of Bakersfield, southwest of Fresno, Clovis and Madera. The earthquake erupted in the region west of the 5 Freeway and east of Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz. It was also southeast of San Jose, Sunnyvale and Fremont. No reports of damage and injuries have yet to be detailed by local news.

And what did I do thu it all? After saying "Cool, not so bad" I got up, got fully dressed (shoes too), then fell back asleep. Being the smart woman that I am, I didn't want to be naked if I had to evacuate.

He was so nice on the outside. Great conversationalist and outstanding humor.......but......I did not accept his invitation for another date. He kissed me goodnight at the truck and I went home.

No, it wasn't the lack of kissing correctly. It was his lack of skills when dealing with the Wait Staff. I won't abide belitting another person trying to make a living. As a matter of fact, I don't care for rude people at all. End of story.

Life goes on and so do I.

Since 2006 I have been on a total of 9 dates. It isn't that I don't get asked, I just don't feel like accepting very date invitation for the fun of it or to get a free meal. Sure all of the dates I have been asked out on would have been great, but why go just to get out of the house? I do get out of the house and can entertain myself quite nicely. Sure, talking and hanging out with someone is also good, but If I am not interested, then it makes for a bad time on both sides. I base saying no or yes my feelings and that is it.

I sincerely wanted to go out on all of the prior dates. Each of those dates did not go into a second date. Why? Because I didn't feel the desire to seek more. When a man kisses me, I like to feel my toes curl, my heart race, my intrigue peak. It's that simple. Those emotions do not come in time. They should happen immediately. At least to me. When I am held and kissed I will not settle for mediocre. It's how I am.

Each man understood my reasonings as to why I didn't accept another date. It just wasn't in the stars. Six of them I still correspond with and the other three I heard got married.

I have a date tonight. So this makes my 10th one since 2006. We will see what we will see. I will go into this with every part of me open with optimism.

Now? What shall I wear?

It's late, the phone rings and at this time of night you think the worst.
You pick up with a worried voice.
You ask if everything is ok.
She says yes and that she wanted to talk about her kickie new phone.
(kickie, was her term, not mine)
You say "goodnight"
And hang up the phone.


Now I am wide awake and wil go perv some pics. There is an upside to this.......lol

I know her. She will call at 0800 and wake me again. *ugh* I'll be ready!

Left for work, got to the truck, forgot my gym bag.

*ugh* I don't have to do the stairmaster at the gym tonight.

Being a single woman, I sometimes lay in bed at night and yurn for a man. I was thinking about how much I missed playing under the sheets. Just to have him next to me and do the things that only a man can do. Of course I could never imitate the real thing. How could I? I don't have the power or strength that a man has. But I decided to go for it anyway and give it all I had. So I crawled under the sheets, let it all build up, and Dutch Ovened myself.

After it was over, I giggled and fell asleep. Just one of the gross things I do miss about having a man in my life.......lol.

Brilliant Cops tase blind man after mistaking his cane for a sword

Red-faced police in Lancashire, England, have apologized to pretty much everyone for wrongly tasing a blind man after mistaking his cane for a samurai sword. The cops had received several calls about a sword-wielding man walking through the streets. Colin Farmer, a 61-year-old blind man, was on his way to a pub when an officer asked him to stop. He didn't — maybe because he didn't think the cop was talking to him? — when he didn't respond - he was hit with several thousand volts of electricity. Farmer fell to the ground, terrified. Reportedly - "We are extremely sorry," a police spokesman said. "We have launched an urgent investigation to understand what lessons can be learned."

Um? Maybe start by learning what samurai swords look like?
