The guppies died.
Since I killed them I figured I should replace them.
Off I went this morning and picked out a couple of some kind of tetras and a snail. I guarded them well all through the journey home on the bus. I got the tank all nice and clean. I put new rocks in the tank and filled it with water. I added the chlorine remover and the water conditioner. I placed the bag with my new charges in the tank so they could get used to the temperature.
Keep in mind it is a very small aquarium, about a gallon.
A few hours later I was ready to release them to their new home.
This is when it became unbelievably tragic.
The aquarium was sitting in the kitchen sink.
I opened the bag to slowly release them into their new home so lovingly prepared for their arrival.
The snail went in first and as I was watching it bob around the bag slipped.
Two brand new fish went right down the drain
Now I am a serial killer.

a horrible, horrible person who needs a real lesson on how to care for fish.
My son has a small aquarium, I think about a gallon. He has had 2 guppies living happily in there until today.
The aquarium and the rocks had gotten very green very quicky. I had to change the tank. We couldn't even see the fish in there.
I put the fish in a fish bowl and proceeded to try and clean it. Everything was so covered in algae it just wasn't coming off.
This is where I become a murderer
I thought a few drops of bleach wouldn't be a problem if I rinsed everything well and conditioned the water.
I was sooooooooooooooo wrong.
Poor lil suckers were in their nice clean aquarium for a grand total of 2 hrs. Went up to put my son to bed and man it didn't look good. I have never seen fish acting like this.
They are now in a small fish bowl on the counter beside me twitching and gulping at the air bubbles, laying on their sides.
I see a flush funeral in my immediate future
If anyone knows how to care for small aquariums HELP ME!!!
I don't want to repeat this mistake.

day 2.
It was actually a little more interesting and I did get a bit of a lead to something I am interested in. There was only one guy in a room full of women but he took it well.
Lunch again was a bonanza!
A little further down this half empty mall is a liquidation centre. I found a tool box, a real metal tool box, red and with a pop up lid and a couple of drawers. Like the kind mechanics have but on a smaller scale. $16!! Of course I bought one for my son.
Christmas shopping has officially begun.

I must say that I did score large at the dollar store on my lunch break! I am a dollar store addict. The coolest thing I got was a lil tripod. It is only 15cms high but I can tilt the cam on it. I am happy as a pig in shit with that purchase!!
I can now also make perfectly circular eggs, presentation counts you know. I also got some "bowls" that look like mini laundry baskets. They are insanely bright colours but they are cute as hell. I got a twirlly wind thing for the garden and a few other odds and sods.
As you can tell it was boring as hell but i am going back tomorrow.
It is only a two day session but who knows the dollar store might get a new shipment.

I really was off my feed yesterday.
11 hrs of sleep later, yeah I couldn't believe I slept that long and lots of out door time today seems to have cured me.
I have a bit of a busy week ahead of me.
Two days of brainstorming but I am looking forward to it.
Off to do some reading and get some more of that natural drug we call sleep.
