a nekkid day. I didn't want to get dressed neither did i have to, so I started playing with the cams. Shy_briton and I posted our shaving vids (if I had a roll eyes icon I would put it here) Then I decided to take some pics and made a wonderful discovery!!! Anyone who has ever tried to take their own pics knows what a PITA it is. Set the cam on timer, click, run, pose, hope for the best, delete all or almost all that you got and try again. Butttttttttt purely by accident today I discovered you can use the tv if it is off to reflect yourself so you have an idea of what you look like before that damn flash goes off
I managed to get four pics I like in just a few minutes. I have posted one so far (my fave cause it shows me that I have lost weight)

last week we were talking about trees (dont ask) and I was telling my daughter about the California redwoods and how awesomly huge they are. I remembered my Mom had a pic of herself as a child standing in front of one of the car tunnels carved into the tree. I sent an email asking for the pic, several were sent but she couldn't find the one I had asked for.
That however was not what dissapointed me.
Tonight after I showed the kids the pics that my mom sent we googled for the tunnel trees, this is where disappointment set in. We found many wonderful pics except for one thing, the vast majority of them had been "colourized"
A whole era of pictures and movies have been ruined by trying to keep up with the times. Especially ironic when you consider we have the technology to take wonderful colour pics and with one click make them black and white.

Last Oct I was told by a Dr. to give up caffeine for 6 months. Well after 6 months I was so used to not having it that it didnt really bother me. This morning however i had a tough time getting out of bed and on top of that it is starting to get rather chilly in the mornings. So this morning I decided to have a cup of tea, damn it was good! I just finished it and am already feeling more awake. The next few hours will be the deciding factor, will I do this again or will I go back to being caffeine free?

this is just too fucking funny. I thought our downvoting problem had been fixed, perhaps it has or, perhaps he/she took a few days holiday or pehaps I have my very own down voter. It doesn't really matter. I lost it laughing this morning, seriously laughing! My new pics, one of which was at 9.45 last night, got the obligatory get out of the top billion vote, but that wasn't quite good enough, it's now down to a 5.59.

my ass! Today I finally got going on the hell hole I have been calling a garage. It was bad enough that it was a lil cluttered, but over the summer my son managed to totally destroy it, to the point that you couldnt even walk trough it. Six full garbage bags and countless other trips to the garbage bins it is finally neat and organized, well mostly, there is one corner full of boxes and stuff that still needs to be gone through. The three of us are tired and dirty but the garage is clean.

It's fall, I know it is. I don't need to watch birds migrate or see the leaves change colour, my own instincts to get ready for winter kick in. This week I have done enough cooking to feed a small army, and still feel the need to cook more. I have been getting a bunch of stuff done around the house that has sat all summer. I am enjoying the shorter days because it means I can snuggle into bed with a good book and "hibernate"
This will all pass in a few weeks, but for now I am enjoying it.
