Monday, April 26, 2021, 6:54:24 PM- Here we go again
The weather has warmed up into the '70s and I once again find myself fighting the urge to stay away from work.
I remember what my father used to tell me:
"Those bills don't pay themselves, son."
My Monday and fair weather mantra.

Sunday, April 25, 2021, 6:50:47 PM- (gurgle)
I woke up at 5:30 this morning in gastric pain.
Knowing I would be spending some time on the throne soon, I passed time waiting to make the move by trying to figure out what I had eaten that was bad.
By process of elimination, I figured out the onion I had diced up to put on my grilled cheese must have been going before I used it.
I have gotten into the habit, since I live alone, of wasting food - i.e. if I don't eat it today and don't want it for tomorrow, then throw it out.
I miscalculated how long I'd held onto the onion.
Remember folks... always give your food the sniff test if it's been setting in your refrigerator more than a week.
After an hour and a half cleaning myself out this morning, the old biblical saying is true:
'This, too, shall pass'.

Saturday, April 24, 2021, 6:57:48 PM- Query
I put a load of laundry in the washer today about noon today.
It is now three o'clock and the person using the dryer has yet to come get their clothes.
My question:
Would I be a bad person to take their clothes out of the dryer (throwing them on the floor optional) so that I can finish my meager load of clothing?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I have heard that when you get older, you have a tendency to forget what you've said and repeat yourself.
That's because when you get older you forget what you've said and repeat yourself.

Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 6:30:23 PM- Pizza
During the Covid-19 pandemic, people are getting their 'fix' for fast food satisfied through delivery.
McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's and Taco Bell are doing it here, as I have witnessed from seeing deliveries made to my downstairs neighbors.
Pizza joints have been doing it for years.
Here in Indiana, we have a pizza chain that started in 1956: Pizza King.
I've had pizza all over the country, it's a common experience Americans share everywhere.
I know every part of the country has their own style, which makes trying them so delightful.
I was raised on Pizza King and it is still my favorite. People who have grown up here, or gone to college here (coming from other states) and have moved away still talk about Pizza King.
In fact, you can have them frozen and shipped anywhere. An old schoolmate who lives in Hawaii now recently had some delivered to him and still raves about it.
I'm lucky I can still either pick up the phone or drive over to one of the 14 locations around here and get one.
As they've advertised for years, it's a "one of a kind pizza".
I hope someday you'll get to try one, too.
As they also advertise: it's "good to the very edge".
