Sunday, July 12, 2009, 2:21:48 AM- Wow
It came and went in about 10 minutes but was the most violent storm I have seen in many, many years. The wind was so strong, the rain incredibly heavy and then the hail started. The temps had dropped so dramatically after the storm that the hail stuck around on the ground for several hours. I have no real dammage but have heard of others being injured with flying debris. Trees and power lines down all over. Poor Cas, her flight was due to take off right about when this hit. Her flight was delayed for almost an hr. In awe of mother nature, ju

I have been to Niagara Falls a billion times. The Maid of the Mist has always scared the crap out of me. It took a few friends from out of the country who wanted a once in a life time experience to convince me that I needed to get on that boat. I had a death grip on the railing. The boat never really did rock. We got wet in the mist. There were so many birds I think even Alfred Hitchcock would run screaming. Cas made a wonderful point, this wasn't a time to take pics this was a time to just be, experience and enjoy. Up the gorge we went. The typical commentary of course in both French and English as we chugged along. We approached the base of the horseshoe falls and then the voice said "Ladies and gentlemen this IS Niagara Falls" I only remember Par saying along with me "yes it is" For 5 full mins we were there a semi circle of water thundering around us. No pics or vids will ever do it justice, it is something you have to feel. I can't believe that at 46 and living so close I had put this experience off but I had. I have no funny pictures. What I do have is a shit load of good memories. There was never a moment of tension, no arguements and no hot water hogs. Par is gone he has landed safely. 2k is in bed we said our goodbyes he will be leaving long before we get up. Cas and I are sitting here facing each other using the puters saying we will go to bed after "this one" This has been a week I will NEVER forget. I had guests but feel like I was on holiday. A little bit of Niagara, a ton of fun, a lot of respect and cheers to what some would say just dont exist, real people. Sad cause it is almost over but thrilled that it happened, ju

Now you have to know cas which I think I do after just 2 days. After driving in circles and showing her more of Canada than she or I expected on the way from the airport we finally got back to my place and decided to have dinner at the picnic table. Cas was first down with her roast beef sammich and bowl of au jus for dipping. She forgot the screen door was closed and slopped allllll over it. Casism 1. The following morning her and 2k went to the bank. 2k was showing her some pics on his cam and she dropped it. Not long after that she dumped her tobacco all over the kitchen floor. That afternoon we went to Toronto and did a bus tour of the city. typical Cas! Today before we went golfing 2k and Cas went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Guess who unpacked the groceries?? Then we went glow in the dark mini golfing. Cas hit her self with her own golf ball! This was the 17th hole. The ball is supposed to go down a ramp then down the maze on the wall and eventually into the hole. My ball, the green one was the first to get stuck. Cas of course copied me Now you might think par got away without making an ass of himself. Not so! I challenged him to a game of air hockey, 2k and my son were playing on the table right beside us. Par scored the first goal! Unfortunately it was against my son and not even close to the table we were playing on! We are having a blast and are off to terrorize Niagara Falls tomorrow. Smiling, ju

Sunday, July 5, 2009, 2:37:45 AM- It is a bad, bad, bad move to attempt to
gossip about me. I am not and never will be one to spread rumours or make insiuations about others. I say what I feel, some of you have witnessed this brutal honesty. I have nothing to gain nor do I have anything to lose on this site. Those who think perhaps I do are only fooling themselves. Several acusations have reared their ugly heads forcing me to deal with them in a no holds barred brutaly honest way. I have nothing to hide and if you chose to continue to play games then your hand will be xxxxxx. I will not respond to prv, pm or emails. Case closed. I hate games and refuse to play them. Can I get back to the fun now? ju

Two more sleeps and 2k and cas will be here, 3 and par will be here. Today I shopped myself silly. If I don't have it now we can live without it untill at least Tues. I have the meals planed from Mon-Wed. I am stocked up on toilet paper. The only things left for me to do are the last minute things that just can't be done untill tomorrow at the earliest (unfortunately precleaning bathrooms doesn't work). Even the weather seems to be cooperating! Super excited! ju p.s. Happy 4th to my American friends x

Saturday, July 4, 2009, 1:01:37 AM- Wow....
I really am shocked. I have finally gotten over the shaking and the fury. Now I am just sitting here stunned. Many of you will surely tell me I have been living in lala land for being so suprised and perhaps I have. I witnessed the worst form of racism tonight, and I am still reeling. It was brought up in chat that all black men have huge cocks by someone I only sort of tolerated. When challenged on his assumption his response was to say he was just stating the facts. That in it self was revolting enough but then when I called him a racist he and another just had to speak out and say there were "good" forms of racism. I really could go on and on about how disgusted I am but I don't feel that I need to for the thinking, compassionate and caring people. To the ones that I might consider battling I wonder what the point would be in wasting my breath. They won't get it EVER if they think there is such thing as good racism. I am so disgusted. I am so very ashamed of segments of the race I call human. Incredibly sad, ju

Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 7:00:29 PM- A sudden burst of energy.
I had been putting off the cleaning/organizing I had wanted to get done before my guests arrived. I hadn't been feeling very well so was sitting like a lump watching the days click by and the mess getting bigger not smaller. Yesterday afternoon after weeks of being up north Ron stopped by. He was only in town for 2 days to get a few things done but that was enough to get the ball rolling. Then Tracy showed up. Haven't seen her since new years so a lil party was born. Lots of beer, lots of catching up. We all had other things we needed to do so the get together broke up around 10:30. Which was fine by me because I had been feeling especially crappy all day. I woke at about 10:30 this morning feeling great! Other than my usual smokers cough the other one seems to be gone. Grabbed my coffee and was just finished catching up on blogs when Par IMmed. Chatted with him for a while and then hit the gound running. Kid2 and I cleaned and tidied for 3 hrs solid. Still a few things to do but at this point I wouldn't be embarassed to have my guests show up early! Happy Canada Day fellow Canucks. Only 5 more sleeps! Glad to have those jobs done, ju

Sunday, June 28, 2009, 2:20:29 AM- Giving and recieving.
I think I need to take a step back and evaluate what it really means. There is value to every thing, lifes barter system I suppose. What is easy for me to give without even a second thought, an ear, friendship what ever, may be a precious commodity to those who aren't accustommed to such. It is something that to me is easy to give and therefore I don't think when others want to give back. To me their gifts are precious beyond belief. Totally out of my realm. I need to remind myself that we all have something to give. We just do it in different ways. Still a lil shell shocked, ju
