Sunday, May 6, 2012, 11:28:05 PM- The things I get up to
For the first time in a very long time I didn't have the kids for 24 hrs. Great opportunity to get drunk, naked and have some fun. I asked a friend of mine if he had any suggestions for pics and he came up with baby oil. Great idea! I hadn't done any of those. So I guess it was around 9 beers into the evening I thought here we go and decided to make a vid. I grabbed the baby oil and was looking for somewhere I could writhe around and not make too much of a mess. Well the floor seemed like the logical conclusion. I set up the cam, took a few pics to check angles etc and then started to record. I was oiling myself up and was feeling a little ummm rough but added more oil, slathering myself as sexily as I possibly could. About now I should give you some advice. I have learned this lesson the hard way so you don't have to. Vacuum your damn floor before rolling around on it covered in babyoil! What a bloody mess! I trashed a vid of a woman (me) covered in oil, crumbs, cat hair and who knows what! I cleaned the floor. I jumped in the shower and to say the moment had passed is an understatement. Some day that vid will get made with the proper preparations and a clear head. Still laughing at myself, ju

Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 3:12:03 AM- Time passes
Some things change, some things never will. It was funny tonight, I was doing something I hadn't in a very long time. I took some time to notice my hair. Usually it is something I wash and let dry. I haul it up for work or I just leave it to do its own thing. I was sitting here wondering if I still remembered how to french braid and took some pics to see if I did. I kinda do...barely... What amazed me is the amount of time that has passed which is evident in the length of it and that I haven't really given a thought to it. Shunning the big pic for just a few mins to pay attention to details. ju

Sunday, April 15, 2012, 12:21:07 AM- Spring cleaning
Today I tackled the kitchen. The ceiling fan is clean. The walls are clean. The floor is clean. The various do dads I have on the walls and sitting around are clean. The fridge inside, behind and underneath, clean. The desk.... I did NOT want to deal with the desk so I opened a beer and sat on the counter admiring my efforts but the desk was calling me. I got to the paper work that needed to be mailed Monday. I found paper that should have been thrown out at the end of 2011. I found stuff I forgot I owned including a cheque for $100 I hadn't yet cashed! The stove can wait. Doing my happy dance, ju

At one point in time there was a corner of the internet. A place where we saw things we would never have been privy to . Now we call it amateur porn. At the time there was no name for it but the pioneers just decided to show what they were comfortable showing. We were thrilled in the truest sense of the word. Then there were showoffs, they rocked!! They gave us for better or worse something to aspire to. We envied them. We all wished we could be as free....Then everyone started doing it. At first it was titillating, then we realised they were doing it to make money. At the time we didn't hate them for it. We wished them well. They were pioneers. Time passed, amateur porn wasn't enough. Either on the posting or the viewing side. As popular as you or I may be in this little corner of the world there are those that feel like they need to be more popular, more naked more, more, more. Long before "social" media came to pass we were social. Far more social than even NN dreamed. We have had marriages and births and on the not so happy side we have had deaths. We have cheered and we have mourned very deeply. We have met, we have had such good times! We want to remember the place that brought us together as a place and time that will always be. NN was ground breaking. The challenge for them is to find the next step. It will not be easy but now is the time to break ground once again... Jaded, old and hopeful as hell, ju

I suppose. Earth hour used to be something we looked forward to and extended well beyond the official hour because we were having so much fun. Well tonight it was earth 2.75 mins. Heavy sigh, ju Addendum It arrived later than usual and with one less participant but it still lasted longer than the hour it was supposed to. Turning off the lights may save natural resources but that isn't what it is about in this house. It has always been a chance to connect without interference from so called conveniences. I just had the vacation I was convinced I needed with the ones I thought I needed a vacation from. Serene, ju

Friday, February 3, 2012, 11:42:36 PM- I like to do things the hard way...
I made lasagna today using zucchini instead of pasta. I have done it in the past and it was really good. Today's batch tastes good but it was very liquidy. So to solve the problem I decided to add some lasagna noodles to the bottom to absorb some of the liquid. In lasagna terms it was the equivalent of lifting a house and redoing the foundation. But I met with success! Engineer ju P.S. Yesterdays blog pic was a new block of fat in a frier

A random pic I took today. For some of you it will be easy to guess what it is for others not so much but I thought it was cool looking anyway. ju

Thursday, January 26, 2012, 1:47:07 AM- So I am stubborn
and of course a know it all. After decades of cast iron skillet ownership and yeah I have liked it for some things but not many, I caved to the "seasoning" idea. It always sounded disgusting. I mean never really wash it? Well after a few tries, some sticky glop, lots of smoke and a few smoke detector issues and getting over the idea that soap and scouring are the only way to fly. I have the most beautiful pan! Why didn't anyone tell me teflon was a waste of time? I now have a real frying pan and know how to use it! Never mind I need two hands to swing it effectively Chef ju
