Item one:
My oldest and dearest friend sent me an email today(a forward), wailing about Clinton's daughter marrying the son of an ex-politician/crook. I wrote him back and ranted about politics in general, but also about how I never see him any more. We both started out poor, and he is quite well off now, while I remain a simple working joe. I made bad choices in my life, and I think he learned from them and avoided them. lol
It's no wonder I don't see him as much any more... he is ultra conservitive right wing (funny, considering this is the same guy who had long hair and smoked dope with me all the time when we first met at age 19), while I am slightly to the left of middle-of-the-road (now. lol). I told him... one of the best ways to piss me off on Mondays is to start spreadin' that hater stuff!
Item two:
I saw an article in the local rag today about how people are flooding the city's understaffed department about cutting down weeds.
Fuck me running! Can't people take a little responsibility and show some pride in their surroundings without expecting someone ELSE to do it for them? Get a lawn mower or weed wacker and do it yourself and quit bitchin'! My Dad mowed a strip across the street from his house for years (there was a corn field across the street then) so that he could see traffic when he got to the corner. I mowed his yard for years after I moved out, and started doing it too... even after he died. Civic pride? Maybe a little, basicly just common sense.
Okay, I'm done... walk away from the crazy man and no one gets hurt.
