I go for a walk every day, Monday through Friday.

The most obvious thing I've seen is this:

When you're walking towards traffic, vehicles will give you a wide berth when passing you.

When traffic is at your back, vehicles come quite close to you when passing.

It makes me pause to consider...

it's much easier to stab a person in the back then when they're facing you.
