I used to mess around with pitching with both hands as a kid. I tried switch hitting, too, but never on a team for either one in a game.
I am naturally left handed, but broke my left arm when I was 6, so I learned to play baseball left handed.
That's the reason I toyed around with the idea of trying 'lefty'.
I could actually hit the ball farther batting left handed than right handed, but would miss too many pitches, so I abandoned the idea.
I couldn't throw hard enough left handed and it hurt my shoulder after a few pitches, so I gave that up as well.
Little did I know that someone would actually make it to the Major Leagues who was actually ambidextrous.
Maybe I should have stuck with it.
