I heard today that Peter Tork, bass player for the t.v. group/show 'The Monkees', has passed away at age 77.
Funny little t.v. show in the 1960's that was only on for two years, but did win an emmy for comedy.
Pete was not the lead singer. He only got to sing lead on one song on the show and this was it:
His friend Stephen Stills convinced him to audition for the show. The rest, as they are wont to say, is history.
