Got up yesterday and had a slow start. Getting shower warmed up and getting ready for a 10AM meeting and The Wife comes running into the bath saying you need to come quickly, there is something wrong with one of the birds (we have exotic birds)When I get into the Living Room, I find my 45 year Old Amazon lying on her back dying! We knew she was old and that she would not live forever, and I had noticed her becoming more feeble recently, but you never think that someone is really going to die. Anyway, I picked her up and comforted her as she passed away. At some point in the next few days, I will need to bury her, but the ground is frozen so hard right now, I am not sure that I could dig it.
I did end up making my 10AM meeting, but nothing else. Needless to say, Wife was not in the mood last night and we both have to work tomorrow at a show. I hope everyone has a better weekend than I am at this point! |
