Saturday, November 9, 2024, 12:36:17 AM- Les Cloches de Notre-Dame.
It is said that the bells of Notre Dame Cathedral rang out today, for the first time since the 2019 fire. How does their sound make you feel?
Bells, like singing bowls, can emit healing frequencies. You can look it up if you wish, or better still, listen to them out there on the web or in the world, and feel for yourself. We are beginning to remember, and bells will be making a comeback.
"The bells are more than just sounds. They ring for hope, love, friendship, freedom and unit. They sound beautiful."- tight_wet_lips
Friday, November 8, 2024, 8:39:33 PM- I still can't get over it
That thing we do every day: sleep.
So during our waking hours we get all caught up in the nature of our reality and we play our roles with all the conviction of our beliefs, whatever they may be. Watch out world, I'm a company president (I'm not), feast your eyes on my expensive-looking suit and admire my business acumen, and maybe one day..oh wait I have to go slip in my purple turtle pajamas and send myself in a slumber, disconnect from everything for several hours. Gosh knows what happens during that time but anyway, make sure to be there tomorrow as we reprise our characters.
We can only be the weirdest species in the history of the universe. Gotta love it.
An nn friend from a Nordic country sent me this pic a while back, and gave me permission to use it in the blog section. I just think it's an awesome photo, and can only imagine how much fun it was to take it. Aurora borealis, I've seen it once in my life, and it was a very humbling experience. Just silence, and the night time sky entirely alive with this mysterious, ever-changing green light, for several minutes.
"Incredible, isn't it. I worked at sea for a number of years and was lucky enough to see it both at sea and in port. It's the silence that is so remarkable to me - all that eerie light but no noise."- FlightofFancy
Monday, September 4, 2023, 3:46:52 PM-
Fresh pancakes, hot out of the skillets and ready to eat. My own recipe! To be enjoyed with Canadian maple syrup and whatever else you fancy.
Oof, I just had four, the last one with whipped cream. Daisy scarfed down two, another family member has not yet eaten breakfast, but there will be quite a few pancakes left over.

Saturday, July 15, 2023, 12:40:34 AM- C'est l'été !
King (that's the little nickname I like to give him, even if he is being raised in French) turned 1 recently. He is discovering the joys of cooling off with water on a hot summer day. We also brought him for his very first swim in the lake last week. He's a better swimmer than his grandpa!
I was cleaning a rug outside recently, and when I installed it to dry this beautiful butterfly came and just stayed on it for a while. But it would not open its wings even though I must have waited a good ten minutes, camera in hand. I managed the first pic, then had some errands to do. When I came back well over an hour later, the sky was cloudier. The same butterfly was still fluttering about, and placed itself on the rug again, in the same position. However this time after a while, it rewarded my patience and desire to capture it in image, wings spread. I was expecting similar colours as seen on the underside of this insect's wings, but was absolutely thrilled.
Saturday, June 10, 2023, 5:15:49 PM- Daisy it out shopping, so I'm left to my own devices for a few hours.
Here are some pics from today, of white peonies. They are in absolute full bloom right now , and their scent is divine. Not ashamed to say that I truly love flowers, plants, and trees, and Daisy has me in charge of everything botanical around the home. Don't know if anyone enjoys seeing this on a human sexuality site, but if it helps to make just one person's day a little bit better, then it will have been worth the time.
Friday, June 9, 2023, 8:28:04 PM- Plucked a white Dahlia from the garden today. They can get quite big.

Tuesday, June 6, 2023, 12:16:30 AM- In our yard, earlier.
A baby Eastern cottontail rabbit, teacup size. I'd estimate this one to be around two weeks old. Daisy took this pic with her phone, and the kit sprung away when we inched closer.
A slight movement of the ears before this second photo:
