I finally realized why years go by faster and faster. It comes down to our perception of time. When you are 5 yrs old 1 yr is 20% of your life, so every year when you are young seems like an eternity. You at 40 one year is 2.5% of your life. At 50 people think they're life is ½ way over, they're wrong. On a g. You can expect to live 72-76 yrs. That would put midway around 37, but if you go by percentage of your life the true halfway point is at 21 or 22 years old.
Let's all help the younger generation and explain to Gen Z it's only going to get worse. |
