Places near you with weird names
Ok, looking at the "Towns and Cities You've Been To" thread made me think of this one. Everybody has some place near them with an oddball name...so what are they?


I have two here in North Carolina that are strange. Conetoe (they pronounce it Co-nee-ta, but fuck it, it's spelled cone toe) and Lizard Lick. tongue

I live in Thailand now, there is many many weird names LOL

How about an easy one to start off. Many people know the city Phuket. (poo ket) but to first timer's in Thailand they pronounce it fuck it! LOL
