Without Ace and Pete. Kiss is nothing more than a tribute band.

I saw Ace in London 3 or 4 years ago. He was damn good, although having a younger backing band helped in my opinion. Gave the music a bit of extra energy. Also saw him with Kiss once. You've just got to love him. Coolest member of Kiss by a mile!

Ace "the motherfucking man" Frehley
I've been an ace frehley freak since 1977. He is the only guitarist kiss will ever have. The original space man. I saw ace for the first time on the reunion tour in Atlanta ga. It was a dream come true. Shock me is my all time favorite song by him and to witness him playing that song is priceless a memory I will never forget.

Alive 2 tour
The alive 2 tour in my opinion would have to be the best tour to have witnessed live.

Ace is an awesome guitar player and a good singer. He's written some amazing songs in Kiss and solo. Not everything he has done is godly (Unmasked for one example.), but he has written some gnarly stuff.

Unfortunately his abusive nature prevented him from playing on some stuff, which is why there were session musicians who went uncredited.

Hate to say it, I never got into his playing particularly, although I loved Kiss's first three albums.

Ace got a better tone live than on record, I think. His playing had a lot of bite to it, that's for sure. It fit the Kiss bill well. Super Distortions and a Les Paul got out some steely sounding tone.

Saw an interesting article where someone found his original, red Les Paul guitar, the one with the three pickups. Someone had cut a second cutaway in the top bout (which, to Les Paul aficionados, would be sacrilegious.

They were able to identify the guitar because of peculiar knotting in either the body somewhere, or on the rosewood fingerboard.
