From a far away time, TROJAN and it's unique REGGIE theme took over The Discos and impressed a whole Generation.

My reserch says that the best era of TROJAN was The Cult Years.
Many Gems for the Dance Floor were created.

Dig a lot of that old reggae, especially the 'rocksteady' era of it, post-ska and pre-Bob Marley. It had a very sunny, upbeat feel to it. The recordings themselves were remarkable, had a lot of warmth to them. Fairly layered, actually. Three guitars (one hitting the off-beat, one tracking the bass line and octave up, and sometimes another one doing something else, like shuffle arpeggios), bass, piano, drums, and sometimes another instrument thrown in. I have a few CDs that I think were Trojan Records artists. The Ethiopians.... A few others I can't recall off the top of my head. Ken Boothe is a name I recognise.
